Just because they're no longer a neighborhood away from each other doesn't mean Andrew Kauffman (Ay-Kauff) and Liam Quigley (El Quigg) of Fake Lorist haven't been busy.

They recently split for college, Kauffman now hailing from Chicago and Quigley from Los Angeles. But somehow between pulling all-nighters, writing term papers and of course, raging, Fake Lorist found some studio time.
The duo dropped their "X Files" mixtape on September, 19, featuring unreleased material.
"X Files" is packed with witty lyrics (as expected) from Ay-Kauff, but even El Quigg shows he can transition smoothly from producer to performer on this tape. The mixtape boasts rare solo tracks featuring El Quigg as an emcee, proving he's not afraid to come out from behind the audio board.
Meanwhile, Ay-Kauff is starting to sound like a human thesaurus, continually complicating his style, flow and concept as an artist.
The "X Files" showcases the many talents of Ay-Kauff and El Quigg, but serves as a reminder that their talents are unmatched as the duo that is Fake Lorist.
