Here we are, two hours into music's biggest night--The Grammys.

The 2015 Grammys kicked off with a reminiscent performance from AC/DC, (one of my favorite bands of all time, who still sound that good). We saw performances from Kanye West, Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett, Usher, Ed Sheeran and more.

Some thoughts so far

  • Big night for the UK: Ed Sheeran gave a delicate performance of his hit, "Thinking Out Loud," while Sam Smith picked up two awards quickly--Best new Artist & Best Pop Vocal. I love these two artists, Sam Smith easily being one of my favorites for a couple years now. Being fans of these two early, seeing them perform at, and win Grammys is satisfying. Good looks, UK.

  • Kanye's "Only One" performance was awesome: People are finally starting to "get" Kanye I think...especially after his performance of his latest hit, "Only One" at the 2015 Grammys. I'm sure he surprised a few expecting a rap--instead he gave a passionate, well auto-tuned performance of a heart-felt song, showing a side of KAnye most aren't used to seeing, especially given his past Grammys stunts (i.e. the "Taylor Swift Incident").

  • Gaga's got it goin' on: Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga performed an amazing rendition of "Cheek To Cheek." Frank Sinatra is smiling from his grave.

  • "FourFiveSeconds" performance: Paul McCartney, Kanye West and Rihanna on the same stage all at once? At the Grammys!? Legendary. And my Gawd was it a passionate performance. The chemistry between the three of them gave their performance an edge that took the idea of a "crossover" to another level.
